It starts as a mock on a phone. Before anything gets built, the screen you would actually use is drawn as a real scrolling page, and we argue about it there. Changing a mock costs minutes. Changing a built thing costs days.

Then it gets built and goes live. Small and finished beats big and planned, every time. Slate went from a signed-off spec to an app on my home screen in one day.

Real feeds over demos. Everything above runs on live data: real scores, real schedules, real texts to real people. If it does not work with the real thing, it does not count as working.
